Spa Compliance Certificate

All spas not including swim spas require a lockable cover that cannot be opened greater than 100mm when in the locked position.

If your spa pool does not have a securely fastened, child-resistant structure (such as a door, lid, grille or mesh) preventing access to the spa when not in use you must install a fence to prevent access to the spa area. Visit the pool safety checklists page on the NSW Swimming Pool Register for further information.

A spa pool does require a compliant CPR sign located in the vicinity it is recommended the CPR sign is not placed on the walls of the Spa.

A spa is required to be registered on the swimming pool register.

If you are selling your house with a spa located at the property a certificate of compliance or non-compliance is required.

If you are renting a property with a SPA a compliance certificate is required prior to renting to tenants.
